Picture in Picture not bringing Subtitles in

Hi everyone,

I’m using Firefox Nightly 68.0a1 (2019-05-11) and I’m loving the picture in picture feature. I tested it with youtube, netflix and plex.

The only problem is that the external PiP window does not take subtitles with it and it remains in the main window.

Is there a setting to change? Is it working for you?

Thank you for the report. Subtitles are currently not supported. An enhancement request has been created.

Firefox 68 have turned into 86 but we still are lacking subtitle support. I find no info in the linked issue about what is actually blocking progress.
