Please stop collecting user data without consent. A lot of users give you data if you just ask.
You can even show a popup: “hey, we are running this study, do you want to be part of it? want to help Mozilla?”.
Most users don’t care but they usually ask their tech friends what browser to use. Their tech friends who use Firefox really care about this sort of stuff.
Why not just blacklist it and remove it first?
After Mozilla can post an official statement in order to explain things. Firefox is doing very well now, I would hate to see such a PR nightmare
I would like to see Mozilla apologise for this. I would like to see Mozilla employees be equally mad about this. The silence is frustrating.
It’s ok, everybody makes mistakes but having no discusdion about this after the fact is really not ok. You build trust by speaking openly about issues, not by hiding them. Mozilla is the trust company, not the secret NDAed company.
Guys. Seriously? Why you are doing things like that? I have found in my FF Looking Glass addon which i didn’t install. It’s not funny! I am really disappointed. It could had happend evrywhere, but not in Mozilla…
