Hello everyone! I’m pleased to announce that Common Voice will be mentoring a student through the Google Summer of Code program, which is an annual initiative that aims to bring more students into open source software development. We received many excellent applications, and I’m delighted to say that @jnranikuabe will be joining us from now until the end of August to work on a kiosk-style demo view optimized for tablets, to provide a smooth onboarding and showcasing experience for our volunteers and outreach teams.
@jnranikuabe is a rising junior at Swarthmore College in the US. He is particularly excited about building larger-scale user-facing applications and learning more about UI/UX design. Please help me in making him feel welcome in our community!
