Prefs do not show on Fx 51 for Android

I have two SDK addons that use simple-prefs. Since update fennec 50>51 they do not display.
e.g. This one: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/jolla-askbot-unseen-posts/

I raised a bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1334695

I expected this to be quickly confirmed but it hasn’t been. Is anyone else seeing it? Maybe it’s just my devices - all are all quite old - AOSP 4.4 and 5.1.

I installed an addon yesterday and it shows no options either so it’s not just my own.

(I have webextension versions of both my SDK addons but options_ui is not implemented on fennec yet: bug 1302504).

Added: I discovered that it’s not just SDK/simple prefs. All prefs do not display in Fx 51 for Android for me.

has happened for other add-ons as well

stylish no longer has an manage styles button
ublock no longer has an show logger and show dashboard button.

in the case of ublock disabling and enabling the add-on makes the buttons appear but they disappear as soon you close about:addons or restart

the issue seems to be android 51
just downgraded to 50 and had no problems.

I can confirm this as well. Using Firefox for Android 51 on 6.0.1 not working for any add-ons I use.

Yes, it looks as if they already know/knew about this bug. Waiting for an update while I’m using Firefox v50.1.0.

This is fixed in Fennec 53b7.

(Unfortunately, in trying to test this I discovered that both my Android tablets are not supported by Fx 53 because they have non-NEON processors - bug 1344906. )
