What happens if I temporarily rename my .mozilla-iot/data/zigby-adaptor/zb-xxxx.json file for experimental purposes, to troubleshoot new devices? When finished can I just mv the renamed file back and things will be back to 100% normal as before I did this experiment? I assume also I would need to shutdown the MIoT service when doing this.
Yes, you should (theoretically) end up back in the same state you started in. And yes, you should stop the mozilla-iot-gateway service before doing so.
