We are very excited to announce the opening of the Resources Reps training! The application will stay open until Wednesday the 30th 13:00 UTC and will be reviewed by the Review Team. You can apply here.
What are the Resources Reps?
Resources Reps are a group of Reps who specialize in resources and are trained to help communities and Reps plan strategically how they use these. This ensures that resources (budget and others) of the program are used in the most impactful way and according to the guidance provided by Mozilla’s strategy and the Council. You can read more about the Resources Track here
Who can apply?
In order to apply, you need:
to join a special training (planning for impact, how to run activities, etc)
to organize at least one impactful zero-budget initiative
to have all of your previous Bugzilla bugs closed
What is the Resources Training?
If you get accepted, you need to commit for a 3 weeks training starting September the 2nd. We are asking you to commit about 3 hours per week (depending on your personal learning timing). In these 3 hours you will be asked to read the training material, pass the quick quiz and participate in a 1 hour meeting.
Have any questions? Let us know on the comments section.

Please note that above reps will not automatically become Rep Resources. They need to participate in a special training to complete the on-boarding process. The grouping above are based on the region to make sure that the resources we have are distributed correctly. And as you can see, we’re lacking people from some regions (especially Europe, Middle East, North America, and South East Asia). There’s a chance we will open the application process again in the future. So keep an eye for more update.
Congratulations for those who are accepted and please check your inbox for more information.
I’m super excited to announce the Resources Reps who already graduate from the initial testing training:
Vaibhav Bajaj - Asia (India)
Arturo Martinez - LATAM (Venezuela)
Geraldo Barros - LATAM (Brazil)
Prathamesh Chavan - Asia (India)
Viola Edoardo - Europe (Italy)
Those are Reps who took the challenge to join the testing training and has successfully passed it. Therefore, it’s not necessary for them to take the training again.
Since we’re lacking Rep Resources applicants from Africa, East & South East Asia, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, and North America, we decided to extend the application for those regions. The application will stay open until Wednesday the 20th 23:00 UTC and will be reviewed by the Review Team. If you’re from one of those regions, we highly encourage you to apply here.
