SEO project and internals content exposed in the Web docs

Currently, we have places in the open web docs where Firefox-internal stuff is included. This is most common in the Event reference. Some of these pages are coming up as needing updates during SEO work. This isn’t material we’re going to be actively maintaining anymore, and some of it is even deprecated.

The questions I have are:

  • Should we just archive the page as-is right now? Sometimes they’re not actually obsolete yet, so archiving may not be an ideal answer here.
  • Do we find a home for these pages in the Mozilla tree on the site?
  • Either way, if we keep it on MDN, we should at least apply updates for basic SEO purposes to help avoid this stuff turning up during open Web related searches, I think. Any other opinions on that?

Thoughts or ideas?

Moving it into the Mozilla tree seems like a good idea to me. And do basic SEO maintenance since you’re touching it anyway.

That’s my feeling; move it to the Mozilla tree and do some basic SEO updates while I’m at it, just to help try to keep it out of the way. Any other thoughts?
