[Solved] WebExtensions - Not compatible with Firefox Quantum

You can achieve that by holding Shift while right clicking. This will always show the context menu.

Ah. I didn’t know that. Thanks.

That should be resolved as of the 6th December. A WebExtension version was released on that day.

yeah. I solved it on 6th Dec.

Hello, the only reason I used Mozilla Firefox is the great “Tab Mix Plus” Addon. But since Quantum is not compatible anymore. Any idea how to solve this? The standard tab setting are very weak now.

I am having the same problem with this https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flashgot/

As stated otherwhere on this forum and somewhere on its developer’s website, flashgot is in the process of being ported but not yet complete, since the main focus from the developer was on NoScript.

That sucks…but hey thanks @freaktechnik. It’s a relief

I am having the same problem with this https://addons.mozilla.org/es/firefox/addon/faviconizetab/

Except for the “auto faviconization” feature this is already available in Firefox. Just choose “Pin Tab” in the context menu. Other extensions are available for auto pinning: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/autopintab/

PLEASE ALLOW THESE ONES I AM DESPERATE!!

Hi, thanks for the quick response. Firefox is running Quantum version 67.0.4 and everything worked fine until about two hours ago. If I remember correctly the last version of Quantum that I pulled up under Help was v. 67.0.2

It appears I don’t understand the function of this forum either. All the responses my post is surrounded by are years old discussing versions of Firefox from 2017 which would be great had it been left there. caitmuenster, are you a bot or a real person? I need to get somewhere that I can get help with a browser that is about to be deleted opting for Chrome instead. What’s the deal here?

Hi @hangfire, I’m not sure I understand your question. What seems to be the problem?

@caitlin,

I’m experiencing the same problem mentioned in this forum post. I have a custom extension I made and am seeing the following errors on the extension page:

  • This add-on is not available on your platform.
  • Not compatible with Firefox Quantum

When I install the web extension via add-on file into my browser the extension works just fine until I refresh the page, where it then no longer works. I’m running Firefox Quantum 68.0.2.

The extension can be found here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/c51245b30eab48a5a583/

How can I fix this?

You chose to host the version on your own, so the listing page is invisible to everyone but you. If you want to list it on the site, you need to upload a new version and change the Where to Host setting in the first submission step.

@jorgev

Thanks for letting me know. I just submitted it for approval.

This extension still does not work for me after downloading it via Firefox’s extension website. It’s important to note that this DOES work when I add it as a file and even then if I refresh the page the extension no longer works.
