I have a new add-on.
Background story
Basically, I was frustrated with the old emoji cheat sheet I have used before. It uses outdated emojis, does not really have a good design IMHO and the search does not always find the best results. Also, it has not so nice defaults by default, e.g. by coping the short code (:smile:) instead of the Unicode character.
Basically: I wanted something better.
So I made it…
I’ve stumbled about a great emoji library for React and it did everything I wanted! Really, an awesome search etc. It’s also used by big projects like Mastodon!
So here it is:

How it works
You can copy emojis to your clipboard or directly insert them into the active web page.
And you have the nice picker, of course:
Note, how I copied the confirmation message from Firefox that is shown when you copy your URL to your clipboard:
So it’s really consistent and follows the Firefox Photon style!
