Test Pilot

  • Q4 OKRs are complete and in Airtable.

  • Q3 OKRs final status published on the Wiki.

  • Production deployment 2018-10-09:

  • Dependency updates and UI fixes.

  • Forward planning to support two mobile experiment platforms at one time.

  • Lockbox will have both iOS and Android experiments.

  • GitHub tells me that from 2018-10-05 through 2018-10-12:

  • Excluding merges, 7 authors have pushed 0 commits to master and 12 commits to all branches. On master, 0 files have changed and there have been 0 additions and 0 deletions (work is slowing down on the platform, as planned).

  • Of those authors, 6 were external contributors.

Cloud Storage Shield Study

  • Determining next steps for this project, including what team should own this feature.

  • Final report published internally, blog post in progress.

Color

  • Dashboard for up-to-date metrics.

  • Production release 2018-10-02.

  • New release: fully revamped UX; additional theme properties; and the addition of importing custom background images from a user’s local files.

  • Social support for new release.

  • Also working on including “classic” themes to Firefox color. This branch is functionally complete, but needs UI refinement.

  • Next steps: prepping a release of Firefox Color in AMO for graduation; goal next week.

Email Tabs

  • Proposed launch date is early November, working with Marketing to narrow down a date.

  • Usertesting.com test will launch next week.

  • GA work landed and is successfully reporting events.

  • Email signature functionality added.

  • Marketing requested we add additional email clients (Yahoo!, Outlook).

  • Design needed.

  • Engineering needed.

  • Spike needed to determine LOE.

  • 12 items remaining in MVP launch milestone as of 2018-10-13.

  • QA started and they’re filing bugs.

Laserlike, aka Advance

  • Launched 2018-08-07.

Notes

  • Product-based discussions for transfer of Notes out of Test Pilot to Alex Davis’ team.

  • Planning next steps; next release will be in November.

Price Alerts

  • Milestone work: pulled out 15 top issues for 31st. Moved 9 into backlog; will pull in if there’s remaining time. Will look at schedule again on Oct 18th and evaluate velocity.

  • Metrics PR landed.

  • In the queue for a security review; will request data review this coming week.

  • Product name expected next week.

  • Decision made this week to allow for some light category 3 collection, vetted with legal.

  • Preliminary launch date planned in early November. Working with Marketing to finalize.

Send

  • V2 in progress:

  • FxA mobile integration slipping one week, until beginning of Q4.

  • Will have discrete GA for beta site; requested.

  • Updated designs landed.

  • Updated designs are 25-30% implemented.

  • Production release of Send v1 will be next week.

  • Includes dependency and l10n updates.

  • V2 release delayed until 64 goes live due to streams API dependencies.

  • This will enable us to pick up some of the new Firefox branding.

  • We’ll wait until after holidays, per marketing.

Side View

  • Working to get Side View into Shield; PHD written.

  • Shield PHD reviewed 2018-08-08.

  • Engineering work in progress for Shield study.

  • Goal: Q4 in Shield, 2018-10-22.

  • Side View added to AMO.
