We are trying to encourage people who attended an offline event to keep connected with Discourse. In this situation, it would be nice to know how many people subscribed a category. This could be a public information that everyone can access, or at least for logged-in accounts.
This is definitely information which would be useful for category owners, and for us developing Discourse to have.
I’m not sure what the best way to expose it would be, though. We don’t want to further clutter things up here. It might be time to revisit using arewediscoursingyet.com for something.
In the meantime, when you want to know how many people are Tracking/Watching your category, shoot me a PM and I can run a query for you.
Some of this information might also be indirectly obtained through Google Analytics statistics? Let me know your Google email address and I can add you to the Discourse property.
