Thunderbird Smart Compose Extension

Gmail recently made their “smart compose” feature default for chrome users.

The feature automagically suggests phrasing to complete your sentence based on what you have already written.

Is there an an extension like this available for Thunderbird?

As far as I know there isn’t anything like that for thunderbird. Text expansion isn’t “technically” that hard, there are several addon’s available for Firefox that do just that for a user defined set of text. The issue is having a good data-set of phrases to search, as far as I know there isn’t any simple “drop in” data sets.

The only thing I am aware of that is close to text expansion for Thunderbird is quicktext for fast template insertion with variables

Cool. Thanks for the reply. It has apparently been a very controversial feature on gmail that freaks out users. I love it though. But I want to move away from Google for other reasons, and would love to have this type of feature on Thunderbird.
