I was wondering if Firefox insiders can share any high level timeframe for general removal of sync XHR? e.g. 2 years? 5 years? 10 years?
The thread at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1542967 alludes to not desupporting sync XHR before Chrome. However, I still don’t have a good sense of how long that might be.
For older enterprise applications that may widely use sync XHR, it would be good to know how much runway that developers have before sync XHR becomes desupported. That knowledge may help enterprises better prioritize related work in their todo queue.
