Trying to connect a IKEA Trådfri dimmer, tips?

I have been trying to connect the cheap round dimmers that come with the white leds that are dimmable, but have had no luck so far. Has anyone had success with these and is there a special trick to it (some factory reset that i don’t know about …)?

I have the Conbee II and connected the lights without a problem so it definitely works.

IIRC that particular dimmer needs some support from the adapter, which hasn’t been added yet.

I seem to recall that it queries the “light” to find out what the current level is. The ConBee emulates a light and winds up passing the request onto the adapter.
