Unkown Cert Error

version: 60.01a (2/27) 64 bit OSX

On the URL: https://service.sumologic.com, I get SEC_ERROR_UNKOWN_ISSUER and there’s no cert information. Checking in Chrome, I can see that it’s a GeoTrust EV SSL CA - G4.

One time, the cert info actually came up but on subsequent visits, I just get blank cert info.

No option to add a security exception is presented (even under advanced). However, it does present the text of some cert under advanced.

My own 2 cents: It’s not uncommon, throughout the years, for Mozilla to not offer the option of security exceptions (though this may be something different). I think that’s wrong. Software shouldn’t decide for me.

That sounds exactly like https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1434300.

The option to add an exception is usually missing because of HSTS on that site.

I realized after I posted that I should have gone to Bugzilla instead. Sorry about that.

Some (most of?) times this happens because there is a MITM spoofing certs. That’s one thing that HSTS helps to prevent.
