How people that will attend FOSDEM can help? (mean Mozillians, REPS)
Tweeting and social media and if you want to help the people in the booth (although we are already covered)
Wear your firefox t-shirt and walk around and talk about mozilla and the projects you’re working on, volunteers will also have talking points
How can people that are not there, help, support the work being done there?
we want to have instagram access and tweet a lot so share share share, we will also have a survey distributed at the attendees, we will also have a VR kit
Idea : At the level of the tweets, I (:hellosct1) can do like last year, that is to say the announcements of the conferences of the devroom and more
TOPIC 5 - New Logo & Communities - Sierra
When will the font be available?
We are working on finalizing the font to get it rolled out.
By the end of February:
Light and bold weight of Zilla.
Available for desktop and web use.
By the end of March
Highlight version of Zilla to type out logo and slug line.
Regular and Medium weight of Zilla for desktop and web.
April and after:
Cyrillic version of Zilla.
Indian and East Asian versions of Zilla.
Our name is still Mozilla, and is still written and spoken as Mozilla. The logo is simply a stylized way to express our name, and “moz://a” will only be used in the logo and wordmark. In text and copy, we will still type out Mozilla as we have in the past.
The guidelines for the logo will come out by the end of March
*Questions:
since the style guides are not there yet, should the communities go ahead?
absolutely and we can provide the colours to use
are we going to get the new community logos in a common place?
of course
Can we get current version of Zilla font for community logos? At least in Temporary-Assets page
not yet ready but when it is we will send it out right away
Can we make this ^^^ into some kind of cool easter egg?
Yes! And we’d love your ideas about what those easter eggs might be. Perhaps it’s a web experience or something baked into the browser like about:robots. Send your ideas to ask-brand[at]mozilla.com
