Why can't I delete my account?

It says I have to contact an admin to delete my account. Why is this necessary?

How can I deactivate my account here: mozilla-discourse?

That’s quite strange… I created a test user, and it’s not even letting me (an admin) delete the account. I’ll have to check that out sometime soon.
