Will linking directly to XPI hosted on addons.mozilla.org count towards installs?

Hi,

We added in-line install on www.taskade.com to install our Firefox Add-on directly via https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/792553/taskade-1.0.3-an+fx.xpi

Will users that install the XPI still count towards the total Add-on ‘Users’ installs on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/taskade-app/ instead?

The user count comes from the update pings of users who have the add-on installed, not the downloads. So, yes, they will count.
