Will Mozilla ever put Firefox Bookmarks Manager in a tab?

It’s really annoying that the Bookmarks Manager still opens in its own window instead of a tab. Will this ever be fixed? Anybody know an ETA?

You can use this link: chrome://browser/content/places/places.xhtml

You can also look at add-ons to manage bookmarks.

If you want a new feature in Firefox put it in Bugzilla or Mozilla Connect.

Thanks for the “chrome://” link, however, it doesn’t have full function. I can’t add new bookmarks from it, can’t use CTRL+PgDn/PgUp to navigate to etc.

I’m surprised Mozilla continues to keep the Bookmarks Manager as a separate window. It makes it a PITA to use.

The URI: chrome://browser/content/places/places.xhtml , is read-only, so you can’t use it to edit, add, delete, or move folders and links. Basically, you can’t use that link to organize or manage your bookmarks. You should verify that their advice is valid, before they passing it off. In fact, you should delete your comment in shame .
