Add-on awaiting review took too much time

Hi everyone,

I submitted my Firefox extension, RightType, two days ago, and it is currently awaiting review.

RightType is a lightweight, open-source extension that allows users to insert mathematical symbols, Greek/Arabic alphabets, emojis, sub/superscripts, and special characters directly into any text box via the right-click context menu. It requires no data collection.

A quick note on the review process: Firefox add-ons can go through automated checks and manual review. These are different stages, and the time required can vary depending on the type of review needed and the current workload.

Automated checks can identify common technical and policy issues, while manual reviews allow reviewers to examine an extension’s functionality, code, and permissions more closely.

Since you submitted RightType only two days ago, some waiting time is not unusual. A pending status doesn’t necessarily indicate a problem with your extension.

You can follow its status through the Firefox Add-ons Developer Hub. For current estimates and guidance, see the AMO review process documentation.

I’d recommend waiting for the review to progress unless Mozilla requests additional information. Unfortunately, we can’t determine from the public listing alone which queue or stage your submission is currently in.
