Add-Ons, Tools for Developer Edition?

If you click on Tools > Add-ons, you’ll arrive at the same window a standard Firefox user sees. Unfortunately, there is no indication of which tools are of use to the Developer edition. For example, would Greasemonkey or Firebug be compatible with the Developer edition? The Web Dev tools were available long before the Developer edition, but did the introduction of the Developer edition make it unnecessary to use developer add-ons?

Developer edition is mostly an earlier development branch of Firefox. All tools in the release version are in Developer Edition as well (except if some have been removed).

You can read about our release train model at https://hacks.mozilla.org/2012/05/firefox-and-the-release-channels/. Note that “Aurora” has been renamed to “Developer Edition”.
