Addon URL reclaim request

Hi!

I’m currently finishing the preparations to release our extension Wiseone for Firefox, and I have a question regarding the URL it will be published at.

The slug we would like to use (wiseone) is already used by another addon, but it hasn’t received updates for 5 years.

Is there a way to reclaim this slug for our own addon (e.g. via some kind support or by contacting the other addon’s author directly)?

If this is not possible it’s ok, we will simply use an alternative one.

To my knowledge we do not take AMO slugs away from add-ons, but if the developer of the other add-on is willing to change their slug, you would be able to use it for your add-on.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there is any way to contact them. :frowning:

Doesn’t the developer get an e-mail when you rate the add-on and write a review?
