About this session
Artificial Intelligence thinks with a hetero normative conception of gender, which in turn reinforces gender stereotypes. As Machine Learning is a sub field of AI where algorithms learn from training data to make decisions. We’ll be discussing on how machine learning algorithms maybe made more inclusive of queer people. Participants will learn why diversity is to important in AI and the ways to fix it.
Goals of this session
The goal of the session is to have an open discussion with the participants regarding their experiences and identify all the problems caused by this current AI technology and brainstorm possible projects to benefit queer folks.
