API Key verification email never being sent, email verification page possibly broken too

I’ve been trying to obtain an API key to automate the publishing of an add-on I manage. However, the verification email never arrives.

I’ve already been in contact with support and they verified nothing was wrong with my email, e.g. it being on a blocklist. However, they did indicate that in the screenshot I shared there were specific buttons missing on the “request api key” page on the add-on developer hub. For completeness, I added a screenshot at the end of this post.

Either way, support indicated they could not help me. I hope someone can help me here

Hi @homerun-addons , can I please have your user ID or email address sent to me in private? Once I receive them, I will reset the button so you can request a new API key email.
Thank you

Hi Mozchris, I"m unable to DM you. Either way, the email I’m using for the add-on developer hub is firefox-addons@homerun.co

Thanks in advance!

Same here.

The mail address is h5f4hxw5dc@privaterelay.appleid.com

Hi friends, I have reset your API key requests. Please log in, make a new request, and let me know if that worked!
Apologies for the delay!

Hey @mozchris, very much appreciated!

Unfortunately, it didn’t work – I requested the confirmation mail, and 15 min later there is still no mail. Maybe it’s the strange e-mail address?

I changed the primary address of my account, but of course cannot re-send the confirmation e-mail for the API key …

Sasha, just to be on the safe side, can you please email me at christos AT mozilla DOT com from the email associated with your account before I go ahead and make another reset? I need to verify that you are the owner of that account

To be sure: Do you mean the new primary address of my Firefox/Mozilla account?

It worked for me, thank you @mozchris :raising_hands:

Correct! The email you want to reset your API request. I need to verify it’s you before making another reset request.

Understood. Did that yesterday, parallel to the thread.

oh sorry, I just checked and your email ended up in the spam folder :frowning:
