Beta testing request — MixStūra Video Downloader

Hey! :waving_hand:

I’m developing MixStūra, a browser extension for downloading videos, and I’m looking for Firefox users and developers who are willing to put it through some real-world testing.

I’d really appreciate it if you could try it on different websites :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’m especially interested in:

  • websites where video detection doesn’t work
  • failed or incomplete downloads
  • incorrect video/quality detection
  • weird behavior or UI issues
  • Firefox-specific problems
  • anything that behaves differently than expected

  1. Did you use AI to make your extension?
    (Why am I asking? Because there’s a huge influx of new extensions, and that’s probably because of AI. See Important update: Addressing the long manual review times )
  2. Are you the same developer who made [Feedback] VoxSub – a Firefox add-on for dual subtitles, AI translation, and subtitle control ?
    Both extensions are for videos, and the MixStura website and the VoxSub website look similar.
    (But maybe that’s just how websites look these days…)

Regarding AI: yes, I use AI tools during development, but mainly for specific engineering tasks — generating and running tests, documentation, code review, helping with large-scale refactoring, automating routine tasks, and checking builds for compliance with Firefox/WebExtension requirements. After all, I’m just one person, not an entire team.

The architecture, implementation decisions, changes, and final review are all done by me.

As for VoxSub — no, that is not my extension. I’m not the developer behind it. We’re simply two different people.
