We’re aware that the Common Voice platform - both scripted speech and spontaneous speech - experienced an outage between 1500 and 1800 UTC yesterday October 7th. We’ve traced the outage to a lost connection between the application and the database cache layer, Redis. We resolved the immediate issue by restarting services through a deploy, and are implementing a longer-term fix which more robustly checks for a connection. The fix will go out in the next release scheduled Monday.
