I know it is possible to add custom images to Custom Things, but what about regular Things? If not yet possible, is it possibly in the works?
This should be possible by creating an extension add-on. For instance, the square theme add-on modifies all of the CSS for the things layout. You should be able to drop in custom icons in a similar way.
