DateTime Thing Addition

I have added the DateTime Adapter Add-on to the Gateway and configured it. All of the instructions I have seen regarding the installation say that the next step is to add the Date Time thing by entering the URL DateTime Thing on the add Things page.

If I enter it as DateTime, it returns a 400. If I enter it as Date Time, it says it is loading until I cancel it. Is there something that I have to download?

After installing the add-on, wait a few minutes.

Then, on the main Things page, click the + icon in the lower right. A “DateTime” device should appear for you. Just click the Save button next to it.

If it doesn’t automatically appear, you may need to just wait a bit longer.

If you get the 400 error when clicking Save, just click Save again. It usually works then.

I installed and configured the add-on last week. Since then, I have clicked the + icon many times and have never seen the DateTime device come up for saving,

Clicking Save after the 400 error gives another 400 error

Another question - at this point, I only have two devices - a moisture sensor with an onoff switch up and running and known to the Gateway. If I now click + on Things to scan for new devices these same two devices appear. I would have thought that once known, they wouldn’t appear as “new” devices.

They shouldn’t appear again. It seems like your gateway might be in a bad state. Can you try restarting your RPi?
