I recently got notified of the new change regarding DNS and how Firefox can now apparently impact that via DNS over HTTPS or DoH.
What I don’t get is how this is different than just regular ol’ DNSSEC.
Unless I’m missing something, it’s only ever going to work for traffic that’s originating from Firefox. It won’t be the full thing like DNSSEC since the parties involved for resolving queries likely themselves aren’t using DNSSEC.
There’s different segments to where the coverage begins and stops.
