I haven’t understood the term properly. Can anyone please explain it to me with some examples.

did you checked this link it has good example
event delegation allow you if you have many element that share certain parent so instead of adding event listener to each child you only add single event listener to the parent while you still know which child trigger that event (as you know an event passed to the event listener )
