Firefox browser not working

After Firefox update, I cannot access my Virginmedia (Sky) sports etc.
I can however, access these with Internet Explorer.
I am using Windows 10. I sther another update to correct this?

Does it work with Firefox ESR v52? Firefox stable v52 does not have support for plugins anymore but Firefox ESR v52 does and will have until Q2 2018.

Maybe Virginmedia (Sky) uses some sort of plugin (not an addon… plugin like silverlight, java or google hangouts).

andrei.
Thank you for your prompt reply. I am a little fuzzy about this, but I can explain that I am using V 52.02 (32bit), and my problem was with Silverlight, which on my PC is already installed, but Sky sports insisted that I should install it! I cannot get past the Silverlight logo where it states ’ Sky sports requires that Silverlight be installed’. And that’s it - I can’t take it any further. However, ALL WORKS IN IE!!
I prefer Firefox to IE, but IE is handy in this case. I think the problem arose from a recent update of Mozilla Firefox, but I can’t get to the bottom of it.
I do believe Mozilla is aware of the problem, because a message does appear on top of the Sky screen, informing users that they may not be able to access Sky sports, but they are aware of the problem, and doing all they can to fix it. I don’t know when that will be, but meanwhile I will have to continue with IE - and I have had many problems with that in the past - hence my swap to Firefox.
Thank you once more,
JONNYM

Have you tried Firefox ESR? It should work!

It’s a long term support Firefox version that still works with Silverlight.
