Hello. On fdroid today, I noticed that The Guardian Project’'s fdroid repo has started offering Firefox Klar apk.
I downloaded it in order to try. I like it’s minimalistic functionality. However, when I tried it for accessing some websites that are censored in my locale via simple DNS blocking, I noticed that Firefox Klar failed at reaching those websites.
I know that browsers such as Vanadium, with user-specified DNS-over-HTTPS server selection, can bypass these simple DNS-level censorship. So, I tried to find options and settings related to that in Firefox Klar. But there doesn’t seem to be any. The closest option is enabling the https-only mode, which doesn’t solve the censorship problem.
- is firefox klar (or, “focus”) still in active development?
- is it going to get DNS-over-HTTPS options?
