I have lost access to the developer account originally associated with my Numera add-on because Google blocked/locked access to my former Gmail address. As a result, I am currently unable to log in, push updates, or manage the listing.
Changing ownership of an add-on is something only the account owner can do, from within their own account. It isn’t an action we can carry out on our side.
And because the login verification is sent to the Gmail account you have lost access to, the usual recovery routes won’t get you back in either, which unfortunately leaves us without a way to move the listing for you.
I really wish I had a better answer. The one path that would work is regaining access to the original account, even temporarily. From there, you could add your new account as an author and hand over ownership yourself.
i understood that you as admins, have the ability (after providing the relevant documents confirming im the owner) to simply move the addon to a new gmail, without harming the
original url
I dont want to change ownership. I will continue be the owner. I just want access
i can provide these documents ,as well as the original source code from 2024
I am sorry, but even as an admin, this isn’t something I am able to do. We don’t have a way to move an add-on to a different account while keeping the same listing, even with ownership documents and the original source code in hand.
I know that isn’t the answer you were hoping for, and I am sorry.
However, I’ve seen a lot of similar requests coming our way lately. I’m going to raise it with the team to see if we can come up with a process to change ownership of abandoned add-ons or add-ons where the owners have lost access to their emails.
