Hello Common Voice friends, fans and users. I’ve just started this week the Mozilla Foundation and wanted to introduce myself briefly.
I’ll be working to help triage community issues, to promote the project to new technical users and help you all out where I can! In this role I’ll be working part time, so while I’ll try to reply to issues quickly, there may sometimes be a short delay.
I was so excited to get to work with this project. I’m a former linguist who has worked in technical outreach for a long time. I speak English and Japanese (ちょっと下手です) and I’ve just started learning some Farsi.
I’m so excited to be supporting a global technical community.
Thanks so much for flagging these, I just had a chat with @Francis_Tyers about these yesterday and I’m going to get a walkthrough on the process for these as quickly as possible, which may still take a short while. I’ll learn more about these early next week and unblocking these and some slow/stuck community issues to try and get as much moving as possible.
Exciting preview, there’s not going to be just one community manager! I’ll be helping with the technical community and there’s going to be someone very cool and exciting joining to focus specifically on language communities!
