Is there a way to restrict search to ONLY
actively monitored add ons ?
The “Badging / All Reviewed” option should do the trick:
Note that there is only 122 addons that matches that filter, so you may not be able to find what you are looking for.
In general the addon can be considered safe also if it doesn’t need need excessive permissions - like access to all websites. But it’s best to check the author just in case…
And lastly, extensions with a lot of users are manually reviewed too, but sadly the addons store doesn’t show which of them:
