Since the latest update, I and a few others have been running into problems that are making Youtube nearly unusable on Firefox. I personally am on an ASUS Tuf 16 laptop running Windows 11 - I’ve already done extensive troubleshooting of my computer’s memory and all extensions with no solutions. I’ll link the reddit thread below for a more detailed explanation of the exact problems. These issues have only pertained to Youtube and not any other video platforms. I hope the devs can take a look and figure out what’s going on, because I’ve had to use an alternative browser for Youtube a while now.
Hi, just to cover the basics: have you tried clearing cookies and data for YouTube and clearing Firefox cache? Have you tried running Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode?
I’ve tried all of those things with no improvement. I’ve cleared cache several times, run troubleshoot mode, and cleared all data and cookies for Youtube. I even did a full uninstall/reinstall of Firefox. Troubleshoot mode seems to possibly improve things a bit while it’s active, but I can’t figure out exactly what is being changed that fixes it. Like I said, I’ve done troubleshooting with all my extensions and have not seen changes regardless of what is enabled or disabled.
