New Tabs Show Blank Page

Firefox just updated a few days ago to version 149.0 on a Windows 11 pc.
Prior to, no issues. Now everytime I enter a search term and hit enter. A new tab opens and the page is blank.
It only happened after the update.
Closing the tab and doing the sme thing again opens a new page correctly. An annoyance that so far I can only attribute to the update. None of the lame “try this” topics fix the issue.
I happen to also be using Firefox 149.0 32 bit and there are no issues. Because 64 bit loads (at this moment) 20 processes. Totally unneeded. Why?
Every update is hindering performance worse in one way or another.
LibreWolf is my alternate browser and behaves well.

Fix for the blank page in a new tab?

The best place to get help with end-user problems isn’t discourse, it’s https://support.mozilla.org.

It’s useful to the community to ask questions there because (1) there are lots of volunteers there who might know how to solve your problem, (2) others with the same problem will see the discussion (and hopefully the solution), (3) Mozilla’s community team monitors the number of problems reported on SUMO and it is a useful signal for the developers.

same issue here…tried multiple things no joy
