Possible to run FF on a heavily outdated distro?

Hello!

Is there a way to get a current version of Firefox running on a heavily outdated distro? Say, a SuSE distribution from 13 years ago? What would you have to do? Create your own static build?

Thanks for any input,
Jens

Uhm as long as it can run flatpak, probably the Flathub build.

Anyway the real answer is: Update your distro respectively install anew one. Very old software carries many security risks and vulnerabilities, you don’t want to use that to surf the internet at all.

Thank you for your answer. I’ll look into flatpak / Flathub.

I’m aware of these issues, but upgrading the platform is not a decision I can make and is unlikely to happen. The good news is that none of the clients are connected to the internet.
