Request for a new language

I would like to request that the (mnw) Mon language be added, thanks.

Currently there are two ways to request a new language:

  1. Use the Request New Language link on the languages page (actually it exists in a couple of places)
  2. Open a GitHub issue => New Issue => New Language Localization Request and provide the info about your language.

Use the first one, if you don’t have a GitHub account, the second one is more precise…
Some recent examples to show you what you have to provide:

The Common Voice team will contact your request. Major steps:

  • Request
  • Pontoon translations (partial) - a native speaking person needs to be translator (maybe you)
  • Sentence collection (750/2000/5000 sentences depending on your Band)
  • Entering these sentences through the Write page
  • Validation of these sentences by two different people in Review page
  • Then your community can start recording.
