Request to block/revoke my deleted add-on “anef-extension”

Hello,

I am the developer and owner of the Firefox add-on “anef-extension”.

I permanently deleted the add-on from the AMO Developer Hub before publishing a final self-uninstalling update.

However, the extension is still installed and working on existing users’ devices, including Firefox for Android.

Could the Mozilla Add-ons team please block or revoke this deleted add-on so that it is disabled on all existing installations?

Add-on name: anef-extension
Last published version: 10.4
AMO account: [your account email]
Add-on ID: [add the ID from manifest.json if available]
Previous AMO URL: [add the old URL if available]

I confirm that I am the original developer and that I want the extension permanently disabled for all users.

Thank you.

Hi, and thanks for reaching out, and for the clear write-up.

We wont be able to forcibly remove or disable an add-on from users’ devices once it’s installed. That kind of action is for cases where an add-on is malicious or harmful to users, so it isn’t something we can do on request for a normal extension, even at the developer’s own request.

On the users you’re still seeing: could you tell me roughly when you deleted the add-on? Our user and usage figures can lag by a bit, so if the deletion was recent, those active users may simply be the reporting catching up rather than the extension still being distributed.

Thank you!
