now every time I try to post a request for assessment with a link to my code the link shows a message which reads “Requests to the server have been blocked by an extension.” can someone tell me why this is happening?
@church_craig argh, this sounds really annoying! I am sorry you are having to experience that.
I do see notification mails from you, with the following titles:
- Assessment wanted for HTML text basics 2 skill test
- Assessment wanted for HTML text basics 3 skill test
- Assessment wanted for HTML text basics 4 skill test
- Assessment wanted for Marking up a letter2
So it looks like things are getting through and being posted.
As for the extension warning, it sounds like you may have installed a browser extension that is causing some slightly odd behavior. Did you install any extensions recently? Think about when this behavior started, and that might give you a clue as to what extension caused this.
If you don’t think you installed an extension, then you may have been tricked into doing so by some website or other.
To check what extensions you have installed, you can:
- In Firefox, open a new tab and enter the special URL
about:addons
- In Chrome, open a new tab and enter the special URL
chrome://extensions/
- Or the equivalent if you are using another browser
From that page, you should be able to choose to disable your extensions, then try posting again to see if the problem goes away. Then try disabling just a couple to see if you can narrow it down to find out which extension is causing the problem. Then remove it?
