Greetings everyone, I have an issue with my Mozilla developer account. I am not able to login to it.
Here’s what happened: I found that my extension was disabled without any message or warning reaching to me. So I decided to login into my developer account to see whether I received something there or not.
I ended up using one of the recovery codes, because I wasn’t able to login normally. I was expecting the normal page to show up, but instead, I got this raw JSON response:
“Detail: You do not have permission to perform this action”
Every time I try to login to my developer account, I get this message. I tried contacting the support with account recovery options, but they only handle services like Mozilla VPN and others, so they are not able to help me with this problem.
I am able to login to my Mozilla account (accounts.mozilla.com), but I am not able to login to my developer account (addons.mozilla.org).
I cleared the cookies, cache, history, even tried on another browser besides Firefox (Brave to be exact), and yet this issue persists.
I also disabled 2-factor authentication, thinking it might be interfering with the login process, but still, I was not able to get to the proper page. Same JSON response, same problem.
Can anyone help? If it is not possible to recover this account, I am considering making another account, re-submit my extension, and deal with whatever warnings and errors I get in the process. But this is a bit extreme, and I would rather avoid it if possible.
Thanks for your help.
