Video Speed Controller

Why are all the video speed control extensions blocked by Firefox?

I’ve used this one:

Or did you mean that you can’t install it? If you can’t install it, what error message(s) do you get?

This is the one I was hoping to use. I use it in Chrome all the time and LOVE it!

When I try to add it to Firefox, I get the following message:

“Installation aborted because the add-on appears to be corrupt.”

That message can indicate either of the following:

(1) The digital signature could not be verified. This can be caused by using an ancient version of Firefox, or your system date being set in the future. It can also indicate that the was modified during download, but that is less common.

(2) The download failed, for example, Firefox received an error code or an HTML file. To check on this possibility, instead of clicking “Add to Firefox”, right-click it and use Save Link As to download the .xpi file. If that works, usually the problem is #1.

We have recently had reports of users being unable to install add-ons due to external antivirus software (ESET). Are you using ESET?

Yes, I am. Is there something I can do to make this work?
