Voice using on web

Hello, i am CEO of howisland. I am a little bit confused about TTS on web so my question is

If we have a well-trained voice and wish to make it the default voice for our users, can we “install” or “load” the voice as SpeechSynthesisVoice in browsers that allow speech synthesis?

If not, what is the preferred or best-practice approach? Set up an external service, synthesise on demand, and return the resulting audio?

i don’t know. even it doesn’t work on Digirano.

We have the same use case and find it very hard to find any information out there. We would like to avoid any audio traffic as our users may use TTS for large texts. @how_island did you find any valuable information out there?

I have the same questions. I’ve opened a new topic for it, maybe it increases the possibility to get an answer: How to include a Mozilla TTS voice into an app? SAPI, Android TTS module!?
