I am solely talking about generative AI here.
I am kind of tired of everyone pushing AI and forcing the users into it. I dislike AI. It’s result are inaccurate and untrustworthy a lot of the time (because it filters out common results most of the time and checking information does not get prioritised) and it is absolutly not necessary. There are so many AI tools out there that if I wanted to I could still use it.
It is also really easy to prioritise fast development instead of actual AI safety which most companies do (you can’t be safe and fast; safety takes up a lot of time and effort because of how AI is trained anyways).
I hope they leave it as an optional choice at best and don’t push it more and more onto it’s users like it is slowly happening with everything else.
I am tired of AI garbage being glorified and presented in this holy light without anyone taking any responsibility. It is quickly becoming a tool that is used for misinformation, theft and control and it is harder and harder to avoid because every company head sees an opportunity to make more money instead of focusing on user needs and wants. Mozilla tried to be a user focused company, once upon a time.
(Not even talking about the environmental issues or the interlectual property theft.)
