0.4 auto-upgrade issue

My gateway updated to 0.4 today. It lost all add-ons & adapters (pages are empty). All my things appear offline.

I’m sorry that you’re encountering problems with the update. Can you try restarting your gateway to see if that fixes the problem? If not, it should be possible to manually reinstall the add-ons from the Settings > Add-ons menu.

Tried restart - no change.

Tried re-installing “thing url”, “zigbee” and “z-wave”. All report “failed”.

No big deal. I can reflash 0.4 tomorrow. Just thought I’d pass on some early feedback in case it is helpful.

@mikebb, I made a fresh install of the RPi using the 0.4 image download and it works well. I have now a Philips Hue bridge connected, Z-wave controlled Fibaro Wall plugs and my first webthing ESP8266 using an ESP-01 module. I had no issues at all having these up running - they worked just out-of-the-box. I was happily surprised how easy it was to get the ESP-01 device up running as a webthing with the new plug-in just following the readme instructions on: GitHub - WebThingsIO/webthing-arduino: Simple server for ESP8266, ESP32, Ethernet, or WiFi101-compatible boards compliant with Mozilla's proposed WoT API

Thank you so much team, for your efforts with the 0.4 update

@mikebb Are you using the official Raspberry Pi image from our website?

If you have any logs from the gateway (either from the browser console or the gateway itself) then it might give us some clues as to what went wrong so we can make sure it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

We added a /logs page to the gateway web interface in 0.4, but currently you have to manually provide a JWT in the HTTP request which is a bit tricky. Alternatively you can log into the Rasbperry Pi on the command line to access the logs directly.

@benfrancis, sorry I had already flashed it last night. All is working well now on 0.4.
