My extension RavenWallet was removed for “deceptive, misleading, or fraudulent activity.” This is incorrect - the removal was triggered by a coordinated bot attack that posted ~100 fake 1-star reviews within a 10-minute window.
I reported this attack to amo-editors@mozilla.org on April 9. The reviews are clearly AI-generated and reference cryptocurrencies and wallets that RavenWallet does not interact with:
- “Lost SOL via Phantom wallet” — RavenWallet is Ravencoin only, has zero Solana interaction
- “MetaMask seed phrase stolen” — RavenWallet has no MetaMask integration
- “Coinbase wallet drained” — RavenWallet has no Coinbase interaction
RavenWallet is a simple Ravencoin wallet. It stores keys locally (encrypted), connects to the Ravencoin P2P network via SPV, and has no access to any other chain or wallet. The source code shipepd is fully unminified and readable.
I request that:
1. The fake reviews be removed
2. My extension be reinstated
I’m happy to provide any additional information or walk through the source code with a reviewer.
In the email you received for disabling RavenWallet, there should be a link to appeal to our decision to remove it.
Please use that to make an appeal that will be reviewed by our team.
Thank you for the response! Should have added that I get {“detail”:“You do not have permission to perform this action.”} so my account was banned as well?
I received Mozilla Add-ons: RavenWallet [ref:130e6d5b-8a4e-44a7-9b3c-40864fcfbb43] with manual review outcome and I’d like to submit an updated version but my account is still locked
Hi Darko, I am happy that your review went through and that your add-on is back online! Apologies for not enabling the account, your access should be reinstated now.
