Hi everyone, as of today we are launching a new programme in Common Voice to recognise and reward our hardworking volunteers. If you enrol and are accepted into the programme, you will be given the opportunity to apply for honoraria to support your volunteer work and we will be able to give you dedicated help with organising events and dataset planning.
There are two levels, Community Facilitator for those of you who are working in spreading the word about Common Voice and running events, be they online or offline. And Community Language Expert for those among you who have deep and expert knowledge of your languages. We will call on this second group when we need expertise around a particular language.
You can find the application forms here:
For anyone unable to access the form, please email commonvoice@mozilla.com with “RER Application” in the subject line and we’ll send you the information needed via email.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year and processed each week. If you already applied to the volunteer programme that was due to launch last year, you should have already received an email with updated details about this programme.
But if you feel not ready to take this step, then we’d like to let you know that we will also be running regular office hours each month on Zoom (next one is on the 30th June, with registration here: Meeting Registration - Zoom)
As usual, if you have any feedback, questions or comments, feel free to get in contact with us on Discord, Matrix, here on Discourse or email at commonvoice@mozilla.com. We’re also always excited to welcome product or project feedback on GitHub.
