I was wondering why email programs do not include something that allows
you to right click onto an incoming spam message and select something
like “Block this sender” and they are automatically added to a blocked
list that always blocks that email address or even sends an error report
to that sender such as you would get if you tried sending to an invalid
email account? This would really help cut down the time it takes to
clean the junk out of your email accounts.
I know that you can set up a filter to do this but, you have to add each
and every email that you want to block. This process means copying the
email addy, then going to the account settings, selecting the manage
filters portion, selecting the right filter, and then selecting edit,
then add, for each unwanted email coming in, and finally running the
filter on the inbox for that account. This makes using the filters time
consuming and the sender just modifies the incoming addy and you are
back at square one.
If there could be a feature that allows you to select several emails at
once and then select a block of some sort, this would be so awesome. Is
there a better way to block unwanted emails?
