[Call for Participation] What does Firefox sound like to you?

Hi Mozillians,

We’re building a small library of branded sounds for Firefox — think notification tones, logo sounds, and other audio moments that could live inside the product and across our marketing.

Who better to inspire us than the people who know Firefox best?

We’d love for you to share a sound you’ve made, found, or simply love. A sound that, to you, captures the spirit of Firefox. You can submit your idea through this form and it could shape the audio identity of the browser you love.

A chime, a word, a squeak — anything. We’re tuning in.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Any sound is welcome. We don’t have rules on style or genre

  • No IP-protected sounds (e.g. a copyrighted song or audio clip you don’t own)

  • Keep it under one minute

  • Submissions are open April 7-15

Once we’ve collected everything, your submissions will serve as inspiration for the branded sounds our team creates.

Feel free to spread the word with your local community and friends. The more voices (and sounds!), the better.

I think I have a couple of ideas for this - it is a lot of fun thinking about what Kit could sound like, but also thinking about how those sounds could be used and what they mean.
